Aparigraha: A Retreat in Non-Attachment with Yoga & Medicine

Join Peruvian Shamaness, Mary Ann Eddowes, and certified yoga teacher, Ashley Hayes, for our first retreat together! This weekend together will focus on Aparigraha, the yama of non-attachment. Aparigraha is an important principle for both the medicine path as well as the yoga practice, on and off the mat. It's with this intention that we set the theme for our weekend together.

Our yogic traditions will be beautifully coupled with Native American Shamanic healing, co-hosting this 3-day retreat with a powerful shamaness, Mary Ann Eddowes. We will be blending yogic aspects of movement, meditation, and mindfulness with the healing ritual of medicine ceremony.

Each day will bring lessons on both yoga philosophies with Native American traditions, with yoga practice each day, nourishing meals prepared on-site, and a medicine ceremony on Saturday, with options for microdosing during and after the weekend available. Wachuma, or San Pedro, will be one of several medicines offered, a powerful medicinal cactus in the mescaline family.

San Pedro, the legendary cactus of vision, has been used by the shamans of Peru for at least 3,500 years. Referring to St. Peter, who holds the keys to Heaven, its name is suggestive of the plant’s visionary power to open the gates between the visible and invisible worlds, allowing passage to an ecstatic realm where miraculous physical and spiritual healings occur, love and enthusiasm for life are rekindled, the future divined, and the soul’s purpose revealed.

This exclusive event is conveniently located near the San Francisco Bay Area in a private farm outside of Livermore, and can even be reached by Bart! Prices start at $600 for two nights, three days, and all meals.
